In a first year MLA studio, students were tasked to design a poster giving an overview of a landscape architect. Piet Oudolf is one of my favorite designers. I appreciate his careful attention to detail and his affinity for seasonality. I truly believe he is painting with plants and choreographing each season. ThThis inspired the decision to paint on his poster. The bones of the poster's design were printed on mylar, a transparent paper, and watercolor was added to the back of the printed sheet to give it color.
